Biosphere 2 Oracle, Arizona October 1988 thru October 1991 Working with Space Biosphere Ventures, Roald was the Project Architect on the Human Habitat portion of this $150 million project. Biosphere 2 is a closed life-support experiment, built to test the interaction between biological systems over a hundred-year period. One of Roald's key accomplishments on this project was the invention of a soft fabric wall and ceiling panel. The implementation of this design reduced the cost of the project by over $500,000 relative to the cost of using gypsum wallboard. Among Roald's other responsibilities with Biosphere 2....
