St. Isaac Siria Skete, Common House 1999 This super-insulated, timber frame building measures 50x60 feet, and the attached solar greenhouse measures 12x60. In-floor heating by an outside wood furnace is supplemented by passive solar heat. Total floor space: 4800 sq. ft. Cost: $180,000 = $37.50/ sq. ft.
