Behar Solar Greenhouse

Gays Mills, Wisconsin -- 2003

The frame of this greenhouse is made of locally milled Black Locust. It has an in-bed thermal air exchange system, and an expandable end wall.

Plants can grow in the bed of the greenhouse, as well as on tables suspended from above. These tables move along overhead trolly tracks so that plants can easily be moved around as needed. There is also a facility designed to easily move plants through base vents and into cold frames for hardening-off.
