Wellspring Solar Greenhouse

West Bend, Wisconsin -- 2003

Built from local poles and straw, partly during workshops. Branching "kingpost" columns support a central beam, reducing the structural load on the south-facing window rafters. This lets in more light than you would find in truss-framed structures.
16' x 36' = 576 sq. ft.
